Shooting photographs

I have taken 7 photographies for modeling this object. The main difficult was that I have no place all around the building. So, east face is not complete and the back face could not be shooted. Before begin the calibration, it was necessary to correct the distortion of photographies, with a specifical soft.

Camera calibration

I choose to calibrate the 7 photographies in order to have most of characteristics points. I had to start again several times before obtain a correct calibration. Finally, I placed 32 locators on all the object. The east side was very difficult to calibrate because I have only 1 photography and few of common points.

Modeling

I placed about 15 additional locators to modeling the bulding. It was difficult for me to modeling it using only primitives. So, I used faces ("Create face") and some primitives ("Add Primitive") for the simple shapes (for example, the stony blocks of the east side or the corbels). Division of facades isn't uniform because faces were placed according to the deformation of the object.

Texturing

To texture the objet, in first, I modified the luminosity and the contrast of some photographies (with a specifical soft), then I applied the texture to each of the faces : the tool "Extract texture" open a window where I choose photographies from which textures were extract. I proceed in this way for each face and primitive of the object. Finally, my object isn't completed because some elements were not able to be correctly textured (1 corbel and 1 face of the front side, the tiles of the roof or some of the blocks on the east side).
